New obsession: spoke-art.com. The newest gallery and publishing house in San Francisco (a city which I have never visited) with inspiring exhibitions and a great website. One of their previous exhibitions – when they still existed as a pop-up gallery setting up shop in NY, SF and LA – was an ode to the giants of contemporary cinema The Coen Brothers and Quentin Tarantino.
If you are like me and aren’t in or near San Francisco just visit the site to get an impression of the ode’s to the contemporary cult and art. And maybe buy, like I did, something in their shop. For example one of the shirts by Oliver Barrett featuring the characters of the Big Lebowski. Or Rich Pellegrino’s work on Wes Anderson’s classic: ‘The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou’ (2004).
I hope to visit an exhibition in real life, but in the mean time I’ll do with the site, and hope you do as well.
